Riverside Drive Remains One-Way Through Holiday Season

Staff Report / StCharles

The City of Saint Charles will maintain one-way traffic on Riverside Drive throughout the Christmas Traditions® festival season, allowing only northbound vehicles. This decision follows a successful experience during Oktoberfest, where the one-way configuration demonstrated a positive impact on traffic control and safety in the area.

Police Chief Ray Juengst highlighted the priority of safety for residents and visitors, noting that the effectiveness of this traffic adjustment during Oktoberfest will be beneficial during the busy holiday season. The one-way traffic change will remain in effect until Christmas Day.
