**St. Charles Police Department Encourages Safe Driving Among Teens**

The St. Charles Police Department has released a second safety tip as part of its "Street Smarts for Student Safety" initiative, emphasizing the importance of clear minds for safe driving. According to reports from the department, driving under the influence is a significant factor in fatal and serious injury crashes within the St. Louis region, contributing to 11% of such incidents.

The department encourages parents and guardians to teach young drivers the importance of driving sober and focused to help reduce the risk of accidents. The initiative aims to create awareness around the dangers of impaired driving.

Two Teens Arrested After SW Bend Altercation
