Police Warn of High-Risk for Crashes at Dusk
Staff Report / StCharles
According to the St. Charles Police Department, dusk is a high-risk time for roadway crashes, with 78% of pedestrian-involved incidents happening after dark, usually around sunset. The police urge drivers to be extra cautious during sunset as children are leaving school activities, increasing the chance of pedestrian injuries. To stay safe, students are advised to use crosswalks, wear bright clothing, and ensure their bicycles have proper lighting.
