Police Department Celebrates National Dog Day with K9s

Staff Report / StCharles

The St. Charles County Police Department celebrates National Dog Day by honoring their 8 working dogs in the K9 unit. Across the United States, there are approximately 50,000 active police dogs who serve various important roles such as suspect apprehension, search and rescue, and therapy support. The police department acknowledges the invaluable contributions of their K9 unit in keeping the community safe. Citizens are encouraged to share their stories and connections with the K9 officers in the department. On this special day, everyone is reminded to show extra love and appreciation to their own furry companions, recognizing them as more than just pets, but as partners in everyday life.
